Good morning, all!

Bloom

As I typed that, the HS reminded me of something He showed me back in the spring of 2015. I was fresh from a painful marriage and divorce. The church I was attending was holding a baptism and I knew it was time for a fresh start and commitment to Christ. I had been baptized as a child but now as an adult who fully understood all that baptism embodied, I needed that fresh start, that cleansing in my life. I needed to leave the old, dead things in the water and start fresh with God.

After the baptism, I went to be prayed over. I remember the woman saying she saw me with flowers and asked if I had recently received or bought flowers. I told her yes, my mother had just given me a vase of tulips. She continued to tell me that the Lord wanted to use those flowers to speak to me and that I needed to ask him what he was saying about them.

I don’t remember the prayers or the process, but I remember Him showing me that I was like those tulips. They were closed. They were protected. They were hidden. He told me that like those tulips, he would protect me and keep me hidden until it was time for me to bloom. Fast forward to September of 2024. I met up with my sister in Christ, Regina for lunch. She told me that the Lord had led her to give me a gift and a word. When I opened the bag, I saw a beautiful giftbox of perfume, the name of the perfume was BLOOM! He used her to tell me that I had started to bloom. God is so good! It only took me 9 years! Lol!

Over those 9 years, I grew, and he pruned. And while He’s still pruning, I am blooming, and it is time to share my journey with you.

Are you in a season where you feel hidden or unseen? Chances are, this is your loving Heavenly Father protecting you until it’s time for you to bloom. Or maybe you’re like me and just now stepping in to what you feel He has called you to. I know it can feel overwhelming but keep going with the confidence that He thinks you are ready! For those of you that have gone before, thank you for being brave and showing us what’s possible.

Father, thank you! Thank you for your protection during the seasons of growth and maturing. Thank you for your patience and your pruning. Thank you for caring enough not to let us stay the same. Thank you for trusting us to do what you have called us to do.

He has made everything beautiful in its time. He also has planted eternity in men’s hearts and minds [a divinely implanted sense of a purpose working through the ages which nothing under the sun, but God alone can satisfy], yet so that men cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end. Ecclesiastes 3:11 AMP
