The Beginning
Two years ago, at the conclusion of an inner healing session, I found myself at a crossroads. I asked the woman, whose wisdom I deeply respected, to examine the theology behind something I felt God had imparted to me. Upon hearing what I had received, she prophesied over me with words that would forever alter my path: “The Lord is saying to you, write, daughter, write now. A blog, a book, a magazine, whatever, just write!” This was not the first time I was told to write but this time He told me!
These words resonated deeply within me, yet I regret to say that my initial response was not one of immediate action. Instead, I allowed the fear of man and the fear of rejection to paralyze me. The weight of these fears held me back from stepping into the calling that had been placed upon my heart.
The Awakening
Though my journey to this point has been marked by hesitations and doubts, it has also been filled with numerous conversations with God about this blog and His vision for it. Over the years, He has revealed to me the essence of what He desires “The Desires of Her Heart” to embody.
The Name

The name “The Desires of Her Heart” was divinely inspired. God conveyed to me that as I abide in Him, spend time with Him, and align my heart with His, His desires will become my desires. In doing so, He will fulfill the desires of my heart. This beautiful promise is the foundation upon which this blog stands.
Vision
When I sought a vision for the blog, God revealed that His vision is rooted in relationship. His heart is always to foster a deep, meaningful relationship with His people. Unfortunately, many do not recognize this and lack an understanding of His profound love for them. God expressed that while He loves His people, our goals often diverge from His, leading to a misperception of His love.
Most individuals are fixated on the earthly pursuit of happiness, a goal that is inherently limited and carnal. This narrow focus breaks God’s heart, as He has so much more to offer. The journey to experiencing His fullness begins with the truth of who He is—a truth that can be challenging to accept.
Mission
God entrusted me with a unique mission: to be the proverbial spoonful of sugar that helps the medicine go down. He told me that as I reflect His truth and shine a light on His goodness, others will begin to see and comprehend the depth of His love. This understanding is crucial, as God’s goodness often does not align with our human conception of it. It is only through aligning ourselves with Him and getting to know Him, that we can truly grasp His love.
The Complexity of Divine Love
God’s love is multifaceted. While He is love, He is simultaneously anger, justice, and wrath. He despises wickedness and the darkness that His people live in due to their lack of knowledge of the truth. He yearns for His people to step into the light and embrace the fullness of His love.
The Blog’s Purpose
“The Desires of Her Heart” is more than just a blog—it’s a beacon of hope and a guide to understanding God’s heart. Through my writing and journaling, I aim to illuminate the complex nature of divine love and truth. My hope is that readers will not only gain a deeper understanding of God’s character but also experience the transformative power of aligning their hearts with His.
A lot of the content in this blog will come from journal entries of my conversations with God, the wisdom and revelations He has given as He has taught me to ask questions. I aim to partner with Him to bring freedom from the lies people have believed about God and themselves, and to demonstrate relationship with God as He is teaching me. This blog is about me being vulnerable about my journey with God and sharing it so others can be free.
